Fire Molten & Ash (Thought Process & Promo)

So I wanted to write another book. A poetry book. Why, you might ask? Because it was time
to.
So I wanted to write another book. A poetry book. Why, you might ask? Because it was time
to.
About 9 years ago I crash landed in Denver (really Aurora) with nothing more than a bit of money,
my hustle of spoken word, which consisted of a few chap-books, and a couple cd's.
Through some grit and help from friends I converted those chap-books to e-books to sell online,
because hey, I was broke.

Through some grit and help from friends I converted those chap-books to e-books to sell online,
because hey, I was broke.
However, I wasn't a editor, graphic designer, or promoter. I was just a poet, with some old poems that
needed to get sold online for some quick cash. So I found out about Lulu, and put up some two
chapbooks. That was about seven years ago, and the poems are now just over 10 years old.

Looking back on them, they could of been better, they should of been better. So over the last decade,
I've pretty much given up on doing anything spoken word related and focused on writing books.

I think I've done pretty well, I've successfully self-published one book, "Chicken Soup and
A Shot of Jack" (available on Amazon & other retailers) and had a second book published
"Crossroads: Decisions & Consequences", through a small publishing company.
Also I've had some success in getting some poems published in lit mags and some anthologies.

This is all said to say I've learned a thing or two in ten years. I've kept and gained support in that time
as well. One of my goals is to show improvement in not only my writing, but also my skills as a
self-published author. A second goal is to share this information.

So this blog will usually have dual post. One will be directly about the new book, the second will be
information about self-publishing--hence the name of "Blue Process"

If you would like to support or buy any merch to help the cost, the old Lulu books are still available.

Thank you for reading, thank you for supporting, and thank you for writing while taking a chance.
I know this process can be scary, but you can do it, so get out there, and get it out there!
